HISTORY

Colonel Bir Bikram Singh CSI CIE, younger son of the then Maharaja of Sirmaur and Commander in Chief of the State Forces saw front line action in the first World War and later had the privilege of serving as honorary ADC to King George V.

Besides his love for polo and horsemanship, he successfully converted a dense jungle located on a plateau between the lower Himalayas and Markanda river into a mango orchard…Bikram Bagh and today 120 years since it’s establishment, it is a prominent landmark in southern Himachal.
